DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections is looking for the best-in-class Network Systems Administrator. In this role, you will perform technical installs, operate, maintain, and support all network operations, computer-based technologies, and printers. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written skills, verbal communication skills, has a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, and has a strong background in Cisco and Palo Alto network technologies, Microsoft Windows OS, and server hardware. Must be knowledgeable with Cyber Security best practices and system hardening. Must also be able to work through technical issues as they arise with accuracy and speed. Must be comfortable with configuring, installing, managing, and troubleshooting complex network issues on network appliances, Windows servers, and infrastructure technologies. Must be organized and personable, with a great attitude, be able to work well in a team environment, and meet deadlines under pressure. Excellent work ethic, including consistent performance, integrity, reliability, and attendance is a must. The candidate must be detail-oriented and understand the importance of proper documentation of change log records. Must be available 24x7x365. The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with a smile are essential to the position.

Education Training and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Certified Training or equivalent. 

Certifications: Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE, CEH a plus.

Experience: 5+ years in an IT Network Operations Environment, 5+ years with Cisco switching and routing, 3+ years of Palo Alto Firewalls, 1+ years with Network Security, and 2+ years with Microsoft 365 Administration.

 

Technical Requirements

OS and Systems: OS and Systems: MS Windows, Hyper-V, VMware, Exchange.

Networking: Cisco switches and routers, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, PRTG.

Security: Cisco, Palo Alto, End Point Protection.
