This month, we lost a truly inspiring leader with the passing of U.S. Congressman Alcee Hastings. A former judge and civil rights activist, Rep. Hastings represented portions of Palm Beach County and Broward County in Washington, D.C. for nearly 30 years. His contributions to our community were tremendous, and his legacy of inspiring leadership, compassion, and positive change will forever live on – he will be missed.
Voters living within the 146 participating precincts throughout Pahokee, Belle Glade, South Bay, Loxahatchee Groves, Haverhill, Mangonia Park, Glen Ridge, Cloud Lake, Lake Park, Riviera Beach, Royal Palm Beach, and West Palm Beach will cast their vote during a special election, that has yet to be announced by the Florida Department of State Division of Elections. Potential candidates and interested parties with questions should contact Florida’s Division of Elections. Our office will post an update with information about the special election dates and deadlines as soon as they are available.
